Job Information

A reputed Australian based company is hiring Senior Sales Manager and City Cofounder for its Hyderabad Office.

You will report to the Director and Head of Sales (Emma) and be based in Hyderabad. Timings are flexible but will generally be from Sunday to Friday, 11am – 7pm, with Sunday being our most important day. You will be required to do a significant amount of fieldwork, going out into our communities with our Executives 3-4 full days per week.

 

The role will start immediately.

 

Responsibilities

 

Overall management of our franchise network / sales team, as well as office staff in Hyderabad, with a strong focus on sales and repayments. This will include:

 

  • Recruit, train, mentor and manage 15 Executives to service urban slums in the city
  • Coaching and motivating sales team to perform in the slum environment
  • Implement and further develop the sales strategy with Executives
  • Monitor all sales regions on a weekly basis including 1500+ communities in the next two years
  • Finding new markets to serve within greater Hyderabad
  • Oversight of our monitoring and evaluation program – with a particular focus on repayments, infield installations and customer satisfaction
  • Oversight of our impact evaluation program
  • Perform infield training and monitoring with franchisees
  • Ensure Executive targets are met to allow for and report to the head of finance to ensure city financial sustainability
  • Oversee the launch of new products, along with the Head of Products
  • Oversee city financial sustainability – directly linked to franchisee targets, along with Director – Finance

 

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in business development, sales or marketing
  • Experience being managing local franchisees or sales staff as a head of sales
  • Ability to work without supervision in a start-up environment – there will be an expectation that the candidate will create their own projects and be able to delegate and manage individual tasks
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Telegu (knowledge of Hindi highly desirable)
  • Very strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and experience executing difficult management tasks
  • Willingness to work in the day and evening with disadvantaged communities
  • Willingness to travel to two other cities in India on a regular basis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing a large team
  • Passion for social business, renewable energy and dedication to transform the lives of the poor.

Good to have:

  • Experience being and/or managing local franchisees or sales staff as a head of sales.

 

Benefits

  • This is a full time role, based in Hyderabad.
  • The position comes with a negotiable salary of Rs.30,000 – Rs 35,000 base + Rs 5,000 incentive per month. More will be offered for higher levels of experience based on a solid business case.
  • Health insurance, following a 3-month trial period.
